Job summary

Johnson Controls in York, PA is seeking a Machine Operator for 2nd shift (Mon-Fri, 2:00 PM–10:00 PM). You will set up and run metal fabricating machines, interpret blueprints, select tooling, adjust controls, and inspect parts to ensure conformance to specs.

Responsibilities include documenting deviations, wearing PPE, and training coworkers when needed. Forklift license may be required, and pay ranges from $23.19 to $27.39 hourly with a $1.50 shift premium plus benefits.

Qualifications

• One year certificate from college or technical school or 3–6 months related experience.
• Ability to read blueprints and the shop order documents.
• Willingness to operate forklifts where required and wear PPE.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate brakes, shears and presses to cut, bend, and form metal parts.
• Read drawings, select tooling, and adjust machine controls for multiple passes.
• Inspect parts, document deviations, and ensure conformance to specs.
• Train coworkers when needed and maintain safe work practices.
