Job summary

Qualifications

• One year certificate from college or technical school, or 3–6 months related experience or equivalent combination.

Responsibilities

• Reads and interprets blueprints, specifications, and shop orders to determine machine setup and sequence of operation.
• Selects, positions, and secures tooling and fixtures on machines.
• Sets controls to regulate machining factors and verifies work with measurements.
• Inspects parts and documents deviations from prints; trains colleagues as needed.
• Follows PPE and safety rules; reports injuries or unsafe conditions.
