Waste Management is hiring a Plant Maintenance Technician for our Houston facility. The role focuses on maintaining balers, conveyors, and related equipment, with 2nd shift hours from 1:00 pm to 9:30 pm, Monday–Friday, occasional Saturdays. You will perform preventive maintenance, diagnose issues, and ensure safe, efficient plant operations.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of maintenance experience preferred.
• Knowledge of electrical systems and hydraulic components.
• Experience reading a multimeter.
• Experience with conveyors and balers preferred.

Responsabilités

• Perform preventive maintenance and repair major equipment and components (balers, conveyors, motors, pumps).
• Maintain DEI backlog and ensure repairs meet production schedules.
• Inspect third-party repairs and quality; recommend improvements.
• Respond to emergency breakdowns and work with limited supervision.
• Maintain a safe work area and comply with OSHA rules.
