Job summary

WM is seeking a Plant Maintenance Technician to keep our recycling facilities running safely and efficiently, maintaining balers, conveyors, gearboxes, motors, pulleys, and bearings. You will diagnose issues, perform preventive maintenance, and respond to breakdowns under the supervision of the Plant Maintenance Manager.

You’ll work with cutting-edge equipment, follow OSHA standards, and be flexible to night shifts and weekends to meet production goals.

Qualifications

• 2 years of relevant work experience.
• Be over 18 years of age.
• Legally eligible to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Conduct preventive maintenance inspections and diagnose, repair, and rebuild major equipment and components (balers, conveyors, motors, gearboxes, belts, bearings).
• Maintain the Daily Equipment Inspections backlog and adjust procedures to production schedules.
• Respond to emergency breakdowns and perform repairs with limited supervision.
• Ensure work complies with safety procedures and OSHA requirements.
• Be flexible with hours, including nights and weekends when needed.
