Job summary

WM is hiring a Plant Maintenance Technician to keep our facility running safely and efficiently in Elkridge, MD. You’ll perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot and repair equipment like balers, conveyors, motors and pumps, and work under the Plant Maintenance Manager to ensure production stays on schedule.

The role requires 2 years of relevant experience, the ability to pass pre‑employment screening, and a willingness to work a Monday–Friday schedule with potential night or weekend shifts

Qualifications

• 2 years of relevant work experience.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Legally eligible to work in the United States.
• Ability to perform physical requirements of the position.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and diagnose/repair major equipment (balers, conveyors, motors, pumps, gears).
• Maintain daily equipment inspections backlog.
• Adjust procedures to meet production schedules and communicate needs to management.
• Inspect third‑party repairs and oversee safety and quality standards.
• Respond to emergency breakdowns and work with limited supervision.
