Job summary

Cornerstone Building Brands is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to support our high-volume manufacturing operations in Streetsboro, Ohio. This on-site, 2nd shift role focuses on maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimizing complex equipment to maximize uptime and safety.

You will work independently and with a team to diagnose problems, perform preventative maintenance, and follow OSHA safety standards.

Qualifications

• 5+ years maintenance experience in manufacturing or industrial environments.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical diagrams.
• Experience troubleshooting automated manufacturing equipment.
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as with a team in a fast-paced production environment.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic issues on manufacturing equipment.
• Troubleshoot PC/PLC controlled equipment, sensors, drives, and automated systems.
• Utilize schematics and technical documentation to identify root causes of failures.
• Respond quickly to production downtime to minimize disruptions.
• Communicate with OEM technical support to speed up equipment repair.
• Perform preventative maintenance on production equipment including welders, cutting systems, conveyors, and automated assembly equipment.
• Follow all safety policies and OSHA regulations; support lockout/tagout procedures.
• Partner with production supervisors, engineers, and leadership to resolve equipment challenges.
