Job summary

Tyson Foods in Amherst, OH is hiring Industrial Maintenance Mechanics for 2nd shift. The role covers preventive and breakdown maintenance of facility systems and equipment, with a pay range of $24.40 to $34.85 per hour, depending on experience.

Full-time position requiring 6 months of maintenance experience or related training; background checks may apply and overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 6 months of industrial maintenance or general maintenance experience documented in the work history section or completion of a maintenance/Vocational/Trade program, or a related degree.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety, food safety, attendance and GMP policies.
• Proactive in daily plant operations, setup and breakdown.
• Maximize plant efficiencies, reduce costs, and maintain product quality.
• Complete daily log sheets and report unsafe conditions or mechanical concerns.
• Lubrication, conveyor belt repairs, power train & bearing maintenance, motor and gearbox replacement, forklift maintenance.
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical and electrical equipment timely.
• Work overtime and/or weekends as needed.
