Job summary

Scholastic in Clinton, MA is seeking an experienced 2nd Shift Warehouse Lead to support our book fairs operation. This full-time role involves operating battery or gas-powered equipment, including forklifts and stock pickers, and ensuring safe, accurate inventory movement.

You will work 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM, Monday through Friday, with a $21.00 base pay plus $1.50 shift premium for eligible hours. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, vacation and a 50% discount on Scholastic merchandise,

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Must be trained and licensed to operate power equipment.
• Minimum 1 year power equipment operation experience for non-internal promotions.
• Requires satisfactory completion of a forklift training program.
• Ability to demonstrate basic product scanner proficiency with minimal errors.
• Strong team player and good verbal/written communication skills.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Operate battery-operated and/or gas-powered equipment to transport products within facility.
• Follow all power equipment rules and OSHA safety policies.
• Wear PPE at all times when operating order/stock pickers.
• Demonstrate scanner functions for cycle-counts and replenishment.
• Ensure product is stacked safely and inventory movements are accurate.
• Inspect and report unsafe conditions and maintain equipment.
• Assist in loading/unloading of trucks as needed.
• Maintain a neat, safe, and organized work area.
