Job summary

Scholastic is hiring for a Warehouse Cherry Picker/Stand-up Forklift Operator in Odenton, MD. The 2nd shift runs 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM, Monday to Friday, with an hourly rate of $19.50 plus a $1.50 shift premium from 2:00 PM to 6:00 AM.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Must be trained and licensed to operate power equipment.
• Minimum 1 year power equipment operation experience for non-internal promotions.
• Forklift training program must be completed.
• Basic product scanner proficiency with minimal errors.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate battery-operated or gas-powered equipment (excluding motorized pallet jacks) to move goods within the facility.
• Follow all safety rules, OSHA policies, and use required PPE at all times.
• Maintain accurate inventory movement and perform cycle counts as needed.
• Assist in loading/unloading trucks and seasonal inventory resets.
• Keep work area neat, safe, and organized; report unsafe conditions.
