Job summary

Wieland is hiring a Machine Operator for the Wheeling, IL facility on the 2nd shift (3 PM–11 PM) with a $21.00/hr pay range and a $0.50 shift differential. The role involves set-up and operation of Fin Tube machines, inspection of in-process material, maintaining a clean and safe workspace, and recording quality data with WFS.

Training is provided to perform duties. The position emphasizes adherence to safety and environmental guidelines, accurate documentation, and teamwork under a shift

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Good written and communication skills required.
• Ability to perform set-ups and quality troubleshooting as instructed.
• CNC machining experience is a plus.
• Understanding of measurement math related to decimals and fractions.

Responsibilities

• Set-up and operate Fin Tube machines to meet tolerances and customer drawings.
• Inspect in-process material and report non-conforming items.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and comply with PPE and safety standards.
• Record quality data and material usage using WFS for inventory accountability.
