Job summary

Wieland North America, Inc. is seeking a Machine Operator for the Wheeling, IL facility. The role involves set-up, operation, and inspection of Fin Tube milling centers, ensuring quality and adherence to safety standards in a fully on-site 2nd shift.

Responsibilities include production readiness, document data accuracy, and coordination with the shift supervisor. CNC experience is a plus and a high school diploma or GED is preferred.

Qualifications

• Ensure work area is clean, organized and safe for all personnel.
• Report all incidents that may impact the area of work to supervisor.
• Suggest job related improvements and cost-saving ideas.
• Perform related duties as assigned to meet requirements of the position and organizational expectations.
• Able to perform set-ups and quality troubleshooting as instructed to minimize impact to production flow.
• Recognized as a strong contributor within the organization.
• Manufacturing experience with machine function and interface such as HMI, calibration methods and programming, printing/labeling auxiliaries, and direct computer input for production/order start and finish operations.

Responsibilities

• Set-up and operate Fin Tube machines to meet customer drawings with precise tolerances.
• Inspect in-process material per work instructions and dispose of non-conforming material according to procedures.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area and ensure PPE and safety devices are used properly.
• Record quality data, scrap counts, and material usage using the systems in place.
