Wieland North America, Inc. is hiring a Machine Operator for our Wheeling, IL facility. The role focuses on setup, operation, and inspection of Fin Tube milling centers, with emphasis on quality, safety, and adherence to production schedules.

You will collaborate with the Shift Supervisor and team leads on daily tasks and quality checks on produced tubes. The position is on-site with a Monday-Friday 2nd shift (3p-11p) and a $21.00/hour base pay plus a $0.50 shift differential.

Qualifications

• Good written and communication skills.
• Ensure that work area is clean, organized and safe for all personnel.
• Report all incidents that may impact the area of work, material being produced and other team members.
• Suggest job related improvements and cost-saving ideas.
• Perform related duties as assigned to meet requirements of the position and organizational expectations.
• Able to perform set-ups and quality trouble shooting as instructed to minimize impact to production flow.
• Recognized as a strong contributor within the organization.
• High school diploma or GED (preferred).
• CNC machining experience (a plus).
• Understanding of measurement math as it relates to decimals and fractions and basic math functions.
• Manufacturing experience preferably with knowledge of machine function and interface such as HMI input/output, calibration methods, programming, and production order control.

Responsabilités

• Set up and operate Fin Tube machines to meet customer drawings with precise tolerances.
• Inspect in-process material and report non-conforming items.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and ensure PPE and safety standards are followed.
• Record quality data, scrap counts, and material usage accurately.
