Job summary

UG2 is seeking a Maintenance Technician II to support and maintain a state-of-the-art life science campus in Cambridge, MA. You will perform preventative maintenance, diagnose building systems, and respond to service requests while ensuring reliability and energy efficiency.

The role requires hands-on maintenance experience, familiarity with BAS/BMS, and the ability to lead in engineering tasks when needed. Strong communication and safety awareness are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent plus 3–5 years of related experience.
• Wastewater Treatment License or ability to obtain within six months.
• Proficiency with building management systems.
• Lead Engineer when required.
• Reliable and professional behavior.

Responsibilities

• Perform interior and exterior maintenance projects and work orders.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and trend facilities systems via BAS/BMS.
• Repair and preventative maintenance of mechanical and electrical equipment.
• Respond to emergencies, service calls, and after-hours requests.]
• Ensure proper operation of HVAC, boilers, heating and cooling systems.
• Inspect and maintain energy management, fire safety, and building automation systems.
• Conduct tours of mechanical spaces and perform routine inspections.
• Communicate status and issues clearly to owners or supervisors.
