Job summary

UG2 is seeking a Maintenance Technician II in Boston to support building operations and maintenance. The role emphasizes inspections, testing, and preventative maintenance of mechanical, electrical, and automatic temperature control equipment, with on-call emergency responsiveness.

The technician will diagnose issues through the building management system and perform preventative maintenance to extend equipment life, while coordinating with owners and supervisors on system status and work

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and 3–5 years related experience.
• Wastewater license or ability to achieve within six months.
• Proficient with building management systems.
• Lead Engineer capability when required.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and trend facilities systems and status through the building management system.
• Perform preventative maintenance on mechanical and electrical equipment to increase reliability and life.
• Respond to emergencies and service requests for HVAC, plumbing, lighting, and carpentry.
• Inspect and repair boilers, heating/cooling systems and energy management/building automation systems.
• Communicate status of work performed to owners or supervisors.
