Job summary

UG2 in Massachusetts is seeking a Maintenance Technician I – HVAC to support the operation and maintenance of a state-of-the-art life science campus. You will inspect, test, repair, and perform preventative maintenance on mechanical, electrical, and HVAC systems, while contributing to system design discussions.

The role requires hands-on experience with large tonnage HVAC equipment, strong BMS knowledge, and a collaborative approach.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required, with 3–5 years of related experience.
• Mechanical and electrical aptitude with large tonnage HVAC equipment is required.
• Must be able to service refrigeration compressors, cooling towers, pumps, VAV boxes, and energy management controls.
• Deep understanding of building management systems (BMS) is required.
• Wastewater treatment license or ability to obtain within six months.

Responsibilities

• Share knowledge and best practices with maintenance team members.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and trend facilities systems via the building management system.
• Troubleshoot HVAC equipment and controls and perform repairs.
• Perform pump rebuilds and replacements to ensure HVAC and building system operation.
• Foster strong contractor and vendor relationships.
