Job summary

UG2 is seeking a Maintenance Technician II in Boston to support building operations and maintenance, including inspections, testing, and preventive maintenance of mechanical, electrical, and automatic temperature control equipment.

The role requires troubleshooting, on-call support for emergencies, and collaboration on energy management systems to ensure reliable, safe operation across the facility.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Wastewater Treatment License or ability to obtain within six months.
• Proficiency with building management systems (BMS).
• Ability to serve as Lead Engineer when required.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and trend facilities systems via the building management system.
• Perform preventive maintenance on mechanical and electrical equipment.
• Respond to emergencies and after-hours service calls, prioritizing HVAC systems.
• Inspect and repair boilers, heating, cooling, and related systems.
• Coordinate with operations and safety teams to ensure compliant, safe operation.
• Maintain daily operation and inspections of EMS/BAS and Fire Safety systems.
• Communicate status of work and system conditions to supervisor.
• Maintain housekeeping of mechanical/electrical rooms and assist other trades as needed.
