Job summary

Carter Machinery is seeking an Express Lube Technician in Fishersville, VA to perform lubrication, oil changes, filter replacements, and preventive maintenance on customer equipment. You’ll work in a hands-on shop and on-site settings, ensuring quality service and documentation.

The role requires at least 2 years in a shop setting, a valid license, and the ability to obtain CDL/DOT certification. Competitive pay with benefits and opportunities for overtime are provided.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a shop service environment.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Ability to obtain CDL or DOT certification.
• Strong mechanical aptitude.
• Capability to operate boom truck or equivalent.
• Proficiency with service reports and work orders.
• Willingness to work overtime as required by job and customer demand.

Responsibilities

• Lubricate moving parts of various machinery with specified lubricants.
• Inspect fluid levels for engine, hydraulics, transmission, etc.
• Inject grease into units using hand or compressed-air powered grease gun.
• Drain oil and refill with required amount.
• Collect oil samples for testing.
• Replace oil and air filters.
• Recommend other services with customer as part of inspection review process.
• Monitor and maintain inventories of oil, filters, etc.
• Inform customer of upcoming service due dates and make recommendations.
• Perform other related duties, as assigned.
