Job summary

GFL Environmental Inc. seeks skilled diesel truck technicians in Chesapeake, VA to safely operate, repair, rebuild, and maintain heavy-duty diesel trucks and equipment to keep the fleet operating reliably.

Starting pay ranges from $28 to $55 per hour, with more pay based on experience and certifications. The shift is 3pm–1am (Mon-Fri) with a $2 shift differential; overtime after 40 hours and ASE testing incentives are offered.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily inspections, diagnose issues, troubleshoot problems, and complete repairs on Diesel Refuse Trucks.
• Repair and troubleshoot hydraulic systems, electrical systems, brakes, suspension, PTO systems, and other truck components.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical issues to keep Refuse Trucks operating safely and reliably.
• Perform preventative maintenance and complete repairs to ensure fleet vehicles are ready for daily operation.

Safely operate, repair, rebuild and perform maintenance on Company owned or leased heavy duty diesel trucks and equipment including rolling stock to ensure its ability to operate safely

Starting Pay: $28-$55/hr
More pay available based on experience, certifications and skill level.

Shift: 3pm-1am M-F. $2 shift differential. Day shift Saturdays as needed. Overtime after 40hrs worked.

We pay for ASE testing! Once you get your certs is .50 bump per T Series ASE.
