Job summary

GFL Environmental Inc. is seeking a skilled Diesel Service Technician to safely operate, repair, rebuild and maintain heavy-duty diesel trucks and equipment. Starting pay ranges from $29 to $36 per hour with overtime after 40 hours and benefits eligibility after probation.

Responsibilities include daily inspections, diagnostics, repairs on hydraulic and electrical systems, brakes and suspension, and preventative maintenance to keep fleet vehicles ready for daily operation.

Qualifications

• Experience with heavy duty diesel trucks and equipment.
• Ability to perform inspections, diagnose issues and repair safely.
• Overtime after 40 hours as part of the shift options.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily inspections, diagnose issues, troubleshoot problems, and complete repairs on Diesel Refuse Trucks.
• Repair and troubleshoot hydraulic systems, electrical systems, brakes, suspension, PTO systems, and other truck components.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical issues to keep Refuse Trucks operating safely and reliably.
• Perform preventative maintenance and complete repairs to ensure fleet vehicles are ready for daily operation.

Job description

Safely operate, repair, rebuild and perform maintenance on Company owned or leased heavy duty diesel trucks and equipment including rolling stock to ensure its ability to operate safely

Starting Pay: $29 to $36 per hour. More pay available based on experience, certifications and skill level.

We pay for ASE testing! Once you get your certs is .25 bump per T Series ASE.

Shift: 2 Options1) 5am-3pm M-F. Overtime after 40hrs worked.2) 2pm-1130pm M-F. Overtime after 40hrs worked.
