Job summary

Howmet Fastening Systems in Torrance, CA is seeking a 2nd shift CNC Operator to set up, run and troubleshoot CNC machines following blueprints and job orders. You will work in a high-precision aerospace environment and must maintain quality and safety standards.

Responsibilities include following work orders, running multiple machines, reducing setup times, performing preventative maintenance, and adhering to 5S and LOTO procedures.

Qualifications

• Must read blueprints and work instructions.
• Understanding of cutting tools and G/M codes.
• Basic troubleshooting ability.
• Move and lift up to 30 lbs.
• Must read/write English.

Responsibilities

• Follow work orders and verbal instructions.
• Run multiple machines as required.
• Reduce setup times and drive down changeovers.
• Maintain a clean, organized 5S workplace.
• Participate in Autonomous Maintenance program.
• Perform Preventative Maintenance per schedule.
• Verify first piece per part print.
• Produce high-quality parts per specs and standards.
• Perform Lockout/Tagout (LOTO).
• Operate per work instructions and quality standards.
• Use tools to check and adjust offsets.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Follow EHS policies and report incidents.
• Other duties as assigned.
