Job summary

Howmet Aerospace in Torrance, CA is seeking a CNC Operator I to operate and set up CNC machines, read blueprints, and follow established programs to manufacture precision parts.

You will perform tooling offsets, speeds/feeds, inspect parts using precision gauges, troubleshoot issues, and maintain 5S standards on the shop floor. Visa sponsorship is not provided; US work authorization required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• 3+ years operating machinery or CNC certificate preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications in English.
• Proficiency with CNC controls, G- and M-codes, and speeds/feeds.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate single- and multi-spindle CNC equipment to produce parts per blueprints and work instructions.
• Perform tool offsets, speeds/feeds, and program edits as required.
• Read blueprints and perform first-piece and in-process inspections using precision gauges.
• Troubleshoot machining, tooling, and equipment issues; maintain 5S and safety standards.
• Run multiple machines and meet production targets while ensuring part quality.
