Job summary

Howmet Aerospace Torrance site is seeking a 2nd Shift CNC Operator I to operate single or multi-spindle CNC drilling machines, following procedures and inspecting work to ensure conformance with specs. You will read blueprints, set up tooling, and perform quality checks while maintaining tooling and equipment.

The role emphasizes safety, 5S, and continuous improvement in a high-tech manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• 1+ years operating machinery or CNC Certificate preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, manufacturing drawings, and work instructions in English.
• Ability to use precision measuring instruments and gauges.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC equipment to produce parts according to engineering drawings, specifications and quality standards.
• Read blueprints and perform first-piece and in-process inspections.
• Set up tooling, fixtures, offsets, and speeds/feeds.
• Perform SPC measurements and document production quality.
• Maintain tooling and perform routine maintenance and autonomous maintenance.
