Job summary

Howmet Aerospace Inc. in City of Industry, California, seeks a 2nd Shift Machining Tech IV (Heading) to operate and set up heading processes, interpret blueprints, and apply basic shop math.

You will train others and support the Production Team Leader in achieving department goals. The ideal candidate has 5+ years as a machinist, can read and write English, perform first piece verification, and work safely with LOTO and SPC requirements.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' experience required as a machinist.
• Employee must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Export-controlled items access and eligibility conditions apply.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret instructions in English.
• Set up, operate, and troubleshoot heading machines.
• Perform first piece verification and maintain quality.
• Follow safety procedures, including LOTO compliance.
• Support training of Machining Tech I-IV and cross-train as needed.
