Job summary

Modern Industries, Inc. in Tempe, AZ is seeking a CNC Mill Machinist for a second shift (Mon-Thu, four 10-hour days). The position offers an 8% shift differential and a $3,000 sign-on bonus.

You will load/unload machines, set feeds/speeds, monitor gauges, measure finished parts, read blueprints, and ensure parts meet tolerances. Requirements include a high school diploma and 0–3 years' experience; Lean training is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 5S and Lean Manufacturing training.
• Basic blueprint reading and measurement skills.
• Documentation and production system familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Loads, unloads, starts, and stops CNC mills.
• Sets feeds and speeds for machining operations.
• Monitors gauges and indicators to ensure correct operation.
• Measures parts to spec using precision tools and fixtures.
• Calculates machine movements from drawings and tolerances.
