Job summary

Materion is seeking a skilled Machinist II for the 2nd shift in Tucson, AZ. You will operate multiple CNC and conventional machines, perform regular PMs, and lead safety/compliance efforts while maintaining tooling and fixtures inventory.

The role requires a HS Diploma or GED and 4+ years of CNC/conventional machine experience, with SAP or ERP familiarity and GD&T knowledge. A $2,000 sign-on bonus is offered after 30 days.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• Certification such as NIMS/Journeyman/Trade School preferred.
• 4+ years experience with CNC and conventional machines.

Responsibilities

• Operate multiple CNC and conventional machines and/or equipment
• Evaluate equipment needs and ensure suitable replacement parts are available
• Make process suggestions for programming new and existing products
• Prioritize production orders or processing requirements and respond accordingly
• Setup, run, inspect, clean orders, as needed
• Train other employees on proper equipment operation and setup
