Job summary
Modern Industries, Inc. is seeking a skilled CNC Mill Machinist for a weekend shift at our Phoenix, AZ facility. This on-site role includes a $4,000 sign-on bonus and a 10% weekend shift differential on base pay.
Responsibilities cover loading/unloading, setting feeds/speeds, monitoring gauges, and ensuring pieces meet specs with precision tools. High school diploma and basic blueprint reading required. Experience with 5S/Lean, SPC, and GD&T is a plus; training included.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 2 years of experience in relevant field preferred.
- 5S and Lean Manufacturing training.
- Basic Blueprint Reading.
- Documentation and Modern’s Production System.
- Inspection Techniques for Machinists; SPC Charts and Tools; Geometric dimensioning and tolerancing.
- Adjusting Boring heads.
Responsibilities
- Loads, Unloads, Starts, and Stops Machines.
- Sets feeds and speeds of machines.
- Monitors gauges and indicators to ensure quality.
- Detects dull cutting tools and excessive vibration.
- Measures dimensions of finished work-pieces with precision instruments.
- Calculates and sets machine movements according to drawings.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
