Job summary

Dover Precision Components seeks a 2nd Shift Manufacturing Supervisor in Houston. You will manage a 26-person team across CNC and manual machining, ensuring safety, quality, and on-time delivery within a cost-conscious framework.

The role emphasizes lean continuous improvement, 5S, Kaizen, and effective communication with plant leadership to hit production goals and maintain ISO/QMS standards.

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ supervisory production experience.
• Knowledge of Lean principles with continuous improvement experience.
• Experience motivating a team to ensure safety, quality, productivity and issue resolution.
• Strong troubleshooting skills.
• Experience training machinists on technical and lean aspects.
• Ability to read, understand and interpret drawings and blueprints.
• Strong leadership and managerial capabilities.
• Proficiency with MS Office (Excel) and ERP systems.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the 2nd shift manufacturing site and ensure safe, on-time, cost-effective production.
• Plan, organize, and assign work to a 26-person team of operators, machinists, and assemblers.
• Lead shift meetings, safety briefings, and problem-solving activities to meet daily plans.
