Job summary

Dover Precision Components, a Dover Corporation company, seeks a 2nd Shift Manufacturing Supervisor in Houston to lead a 26-person team in a precision component site. You will oversee CNC and manual machining, ensure safety and quality, and drive continuous improvement across the shift.

Responsibilities include organizing work, managing schedules, and supporting ISO/QMS procedures while coaching employees and participating in hiring. Strong leadership and lean experience are essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ supervisory production experience in a high mix manufacturing and machining environment.
• Lean manufacturing knowledge with continuous improvement experience.
• Proven ability to motivate a team to ensure safety, quality, productivity, and issue resolution.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Experience training machinists on technical and lean aspects.
• Ability to read, understand and interpret drawings and blueprints.
• Strong leadership and managerial skills and experience.
• Proficiency with MS Office (Excel) and ERP/systems.
• Excellent verbal and written communication across departments and shifts.

Responsibilities

• Supervise CNC and manual machining to meet production schedules.
• Facilitate shift team meetings and safety meetings.
• Enforce safety protocols and OSHA compliance.
• Organize work to optimize cost and quality with available labor and equipment.
• Maintain downtime/OEE system and drive improvements.
• Collaborate with plant leadership to achieve production goals.
• Participate in hiring and conduct performance assessments.
