Job summary

Dover Precision Components in Houston, TX seeks a 2nd Shift Manufacturing Supervisor to lead a 26-person hourly team in a make-to-order machining environment. You’ll ensure safety, quality, and efficiency while meeting daily production plans.

Responsibilities include shift coordination, OEE upkeep, and continuous improvement projects. Candidates should have 5+ years in supervision, Lean experience, and the ability to read blueprints.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years in supervisory production roles.
• Experience in high-mix manufacturing and machining preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Lean principles and continuous improvement.
• Ability to read drawings/blueprints and mentor staff.

Responsibilities

• Supervise make-to-order machining operations (CNC and manual).
• Lead shift meetings, enforce safety and quality standards.
• Manage 26-person team to meet production plans and cost targets.
• Support ISO procedures and 5S/Kaizen activities.
• Coach and evaluate hourly team members and participate in hiring.
