Job summary

RTX is seeking an operator on the 2nd shift in our Machining Department in North Berwick, ME. The role involves setting up NC milling machines and VTCs, reading operation sheets, and performing precision measurements to ensure parts meet specifications.

Expect 4x10 shift pattern (3:30pm–1:30am) after initial on-the-job training on 1st shift. U.S. citizenship required. RTX offers competitive pay, comprehensive benefits, and a robust incentive plan.

Qualifications

• High School or GED with 1+ years related experience or completed degree/certificate in a related field.
• U.S. citizenship is required to access information under this program/contract.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate NC milling machines, vertical turret lathes or VTCs for routine production on weldments and assemblies.
• Work from operation sheets and travelers to set up equipment for turning, facing, boring and chamfering.
• Verify conformance of finished work with precision instruments and maintain certification to accept/reject parts.
• Perform TPM and assist in part process development with engineers and QA.
