Job summary

RTX is seeking an experienced CNC machinist to produce precision parts across CNC and manual machines. You will interpret blueprints and GD&T, select tooling, and perform setups with a focus on quality and safety. The role requires strong communication and mentoring skills to support continuous improvement.

Expect 3rd shift operations, with training during early weeks, and potential overtime. A solid background with 6+ years in CNC machining and relevant certifications is preferred.

Qualifications

• High-school diploma or GED in the United States.
• Certification in core discipline with 4–5 months of employment.
• Experience with moderate to difficult programs in the primary discipline.
• Strong communication across disciplines and staff.
• Critical-thinking and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Produce machine parts by programming, assembling, and operating CNC or manual machines.
• Interpret blueprints, orders, plans, GD&T to determine requirements.
• Assemble, repair, and fabricate metal parts into sub-units or units.
• Take measurements and select appropriate machines.
• Perform machining setups and make adjustments as needed.
• Inspect work and check SPC charts for quality control.
• Keep records and maintain quality and safety standards.
• Follow EHS, QA, and CI guidelines; exhibit RTX leadership behaviors.
• Perform additional duties, including overtime as required.
