Job summary

G&W Electric is seeking an Assembler I to perform various sub-assembly and assembly operations of basic complexity. You will prepare, position, and assemble parts according to instructions, and assist with prototypes as needed.

The role emphasizes safety, accuracy, and documentation of production steps. Reading blueprints and BOMs and using tools will be common, with a focus on maintaining efficiency and quality standards.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED or equivalent.
• 0–1 year of manufacturing experience preferred.
• Able to safely use small hand and power tools.
• Able to read and interpret drawings and Bills of Materials.
• Basic computer skills.
• Able to read and understand verbal instructions in English.

Responsibilities

• Prepare work by studying assembly instructions, blueprints, and parts lists.
• Position parts by using templates or reading measurements.
• Assemble components by checking connections and fastening parts.
• Assist in building prototypes or other basic assembly projects as needed.
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment by following procedures and rules.
• Conserve resources by using equipment and supplies as needed.
• Train others in basic assembly tasks when required.
• Inspect completed work to ensure it meets requirements.
• Document actions by completing production and quality forms.
