Job summary

G&W Electric Co. is looking for an Assembler I to perform a variety of assembly operations on the 2nd shift from 2pm to 10:30pm. Responsibilities include preparing work by studying assembly instructions and blueprints, assembling components, and maintaining a clean work environment.

The ideal candidate will have a High School diploma or equivalent, ideally with 0-1 year of manufacturing experience. The company offers a starting pay of $20 per hour along with a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision insurance.

Qualifications

• Has a High School diploma, GED or combination of work experience and skill development.
• Ideally has 0-1 year experience working in a manufacturing environment.
• Is able to safely use small hand and power tools.
• Is able to read and interpret Drawings and Bills of Material.
• Has basic computer skills.
• Is able to read instructions and understand verbal instructions in English.

Responsibilities

• Prepare work by studying assembly instructions, blueprints, and parts lists.
• Position parts and subassemblies using templates or measurements.
• Assemble components by examining connections for correct fit.
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment.

Skills

Use of small hand and power tools

Read and interpret drawings and Bills of Material

Basic computer skills
