Job summary

Leidos is seeking a NOC Technician II for the Scott AFB, IL area to monitor and restore DISN services in a 24/7 environment. You will create and track incident tickets, provide leadership with situational awareness, and coordinate with O&M teams and service providers.

Qualifications include DoD-8570 IAT Level 2, experience in alarm surveillance and fault management, and familiarity with routers, switches, crypto devices, and other DISN components.

Qualifications

• DoD-8570 IAT Level 2 certification required by start date.
• Availability to work in a 24/7 operational environment.
• Experience in alarm surveillance, fault management, LAN maintenance, or performance management.
• Proficiency in at least two of: routers, switches, crypto devices, DSN/DRSN, Video Services, Promina, CISCO, Juniper, MSPP, DWDM, Optical Switching.
• General understanding of network topologies, including transport and IP.

Responsibilities

• Create, update, and monitor incident tickets using ServiceNow/ITSM; provide timely situational awareness to leadership and communities.
• Monitor network events and errors 24/7/365; analyze alarms; coordinate fault corrections.
• Notify contacts and coordinate with other providers to track and restore service; provide global situational updates.
• Restore networks and services; verify restoration; provide 24/7 sustainment for outages and degradations.
• Demonstrate proficiency in DISN functions; maintain SOPs and tools knowledge; work with Shift Leads and O&M leadership.
