Job summary

Erie Insurance Group operates a 24/7 Global Security Operations Center (GSOC) for the Home Office and designated field offices. The role monitors CCTV and card access systems, responds to alarms, and coordinates with emergency responders to protect personnel and assets.

The Associate Watch Officer uses established protocols to manage incidents, provides real-time intelligence, and supports continuity plans across sites.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
• At least two years of experience with security systems, card access systems, digital video systems, fire/life safety systems, or related fields.
• Experience in an emergency command center or security surveillance environment preferred.
• Working knowledge of Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office, database, spreadsheet, and report-writing software.
• Familiarity with security and fire/life safety policies, codes, and practices.
• Must be willing to work all shifts on a rotating basis, including weekends, holidays, and overtime.

Responsibilities

• Serve as an Associate Watch Officer in a licensed 24-hour GSOC for fire and security alarms.
• Dispatch internal security officers and external emergency agencies for alarms.
• Initiate in-house notifications to emergency responders and management personnel.
• Operate and monitor CCTV and access/security systems to enhance safety and security.
• Provide real-time intelligence and incident escalation, including emergency communications.
• Maintain continuity of records and evidential material in a clear format.
