Job summary

Werner Enterprises is seeking a Dedicated Transportation Coordinator to manage a large driver fleet during off-hours. The role focuses on coordinating communications via Qualcomm satellite systems and phones, ensuring timely updates on load statuses, and guiding drivers through routing and safety procedures.

The role requires a business-focused degree or equivalent experience, plus dispatch exposure. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, a 401(k) plan and paid time off.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration with emphasis in Transportation/Logistics or equivalent experience.
• Six months to one year dispatch experience preferred.
• Mid-range computer experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Answer and process messages from 180 to 300 drivers using Qualcomm satellite and phone systems.
• Monitor Assigned, Pre‑Assigned, Committed, and Late load statuses.
• Authorize Lumper pay, emergency home time, and route drivers to terminals for safety issues.
• Troubleshoot issues such as late loads, routing, permits, lumpers, advances, and finding empty trailers.
