Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking a Data Center Technician to install and service server hardware, troubleshoot network issues, and respond to 24/7 operational incidents.

The role requires travel between data center sites and collaboration with engineers, software developers, vendors, and contractors. Candidates should have 1+ years of hardware troubleshooting experience, a flexible schedule, and the ability to work independently or in a team.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of computer/server hardware troubleshooting or related IT experience.
• Able to work a flexible schedule including days, nights, and/or weekends.
• Ability to travel between data center locations as needed.

Responsibilities

• Performing server rack installations, hardware break-fix on various components, troubleshooting network issues, and responding to operational incidents that impact service availability.
• Serving as a primary contact point for internal and external stakeholders, including engineers, software developers, vendors, and contractors.
• Performing on-call duties and participating in scheduled maintenance and change management activities.
• Contributing to documentation and process improvement initiatives based on analysis of operational issues.
• Helping to train and onboard new team members.
