Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. in Texas is seeking a Data Center Technician to support the operation of AWS's global infrastructure.

The role involves server rack installations, hardware break-fix, network troubleshooting, on-call duties, and travel between data centers to keep services running 24/7. You will work with a diverse team of engineers and operations staff, document processes, and contribute to improvements while adapting to shifting schedules.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of network design and Layer 1/2 troubleshooting.
• Experience handling tickets and prioritizing work in a fast-paced data center environment.
• Willingness to travel between data center locations as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform server rack installations and hardware break-fix on components.
• Respond to incidents affecting service availability and escalate as needed.
• Serve as primary contact for engineers, developers, vendors, and contractors.
