Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking an Engineering Operations Technician to join the Data Center Engineering Operations team. You will be on-site at multiple data centers, monitoring critical infrastructure and performing maintenance to ensure 24/7 availability.

You will work with a diverse team to troubleshoot, install, and decommission racks, and support change management with clear technical documentation. The role requires willingness to work long shifts and be on call as needed.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of practical experience in electrical systems, mechanical systems, HVAC, and/or fire suppression systems.

Responsibilities

• Daily building rounds to monitor electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment for 24/7 reliability.
• Monitor BMS and EPMS systems.
• Troubleshoot facility and rack-level events within SLA.
• Perform rack installs and decommissioning within SLA.
• PM, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical and mechanical equipment.
• Support change management with technical writing.
