Job summary

Amazon Web Services is seeking a Data Center Engineering Operations Technician to join our front-line team at multiple U.S. locations. You will monitor and maintain critical electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety systems to ensure 24/7 reliability and availability.

You will perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot facility and rack‑level events, and support rack installs and decommissions. The role requires flexibility for day, night, and weekend shifts, on‑site collaboration with

Qualifications

2+ years of experience with electrical or mechanical systems in a data-center context.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word).
Ability to work a flexible schedule including days, nights, or weekends.

Responsibilities

Conduct daily rounds to monitor electrical, mechanical, and life-safety equipment.
Monitor Building Management Systems (BMS) and Electrical Power Management System (EPMS).
Troubleshoot facility and rack-level events within SLAs.
Install and decommission racks within SLA.
Perform preventive maintenance and root-cause analysis on equipment.
Coordinate with contractors and vendors per approved procedures.
