Job summary

Public Safety Dispatch Network in Riviera Beach, FL is seeking motivated 911 Call Takers to play a critical role in emergency response. You will listen carefully, confirm incident locations, and document caller information for dispatch teams to act quickly and accurately.

Requirements include a high school diploma and strong typing and communication skills. Training and certifications may be required; shifts can include nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed to cover 24-hour

Qualifications

• High school diploma or recognized equivalent.
• Previous customer service or public safety experience may be helpful.
• Strong listening comprehension and accurate typing.
• Ability to follow structured procedures.

Responsibilities

• Answer incoming emergency calls and assigned nonemergency lines
• Confirm incident location and caller’s callback information
• Use approved questions to identify nature and urgency of the situation
• Enter accurate details into call-processing or dispatch software
• Forward incident information promptly to dispatch
• Help distressed callers focus on essential questions and instructions
• Use language-access and accessibility resources when needed
• Provide authorized pre-arrival instructions only within training and certification
