Job summary

Mrs. Gerry’s Kitchen, LLC is seeking a 1st Shift Batching Operator to operate mixing equipment, follow recipe requirements, and maintain food safety standards in Albert Lea, MN. The role starts at 5:30 AM, Monday through Friday, with occasional schedule changes for production needs.

You will set up and sanitize equipment, weigh ingredients, and ensure quality while adhering to MGK HACCP and SQF programs. A high school diploma or GED and the ability to lift up to 40 pounds are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent is preferred.
• Ability to read and comprehend documentation in English including safety rules and operating instructions.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds.
• Forklift and/or pallet jack license is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate assigned mixing equipment and ensure recipes are followed.
• Set up, assemble, disassemble, and sanitize equipment per SOPs.
• Weigh ingredients according to recipes and maintain quality and safety standards.
• Follow HACCP and SQF programs and wear PPE.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

1 st Shift Batching Operator - 1 will be responsible for operating assigned machines that mix products, ensuring products meet all recipe requirements, quality and safety standards.

Schedule: Monday–Fridays; Start time is 5:30AM year-round, with a varying end time. Occasionally changes to work schedule may occur due to production or training needs.

What You’ll Do

As our 1 st Shift Batching Operator - 1, you’ll:

• Learn and follow MGK HACCP and SQF programs.
• Learn and follow all Food Safety procedures.
• Wear all required personal protective equipment.
• Set up, assemble, disassemble, and sanitize all specified equipment, per standard operating procedures.
• Measure and weight required ingredients per specified recipe.
• Meticulously follow all recipe instructions and standard procedures to ensure recipe accuracy and quality.
• Safely and accurately operate all assigned machines as per standard operating procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

What You Bring to the Table

• High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED), 1-3 months of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred.
• Ability to read and comprehend documentation in English including safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
• Utilize calculators to add, subtract, multiply, and divide all units of measure including whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Ability to obtain forklift and/or pallet jack license.
• Ability to occasionally lift and/or carry up to 40 pounds.
