Job summary

Mrs. Gerry’s Kitchen, LLC in Albert Lea, MN is seeking a 1st Shift Batching Operator - 1 to operate mixing machines, ensure recipe accuracy and quality, and follow HACCP/SQF procedures. Schedule is Monday–Friday, starting at 5:30 AM with variable end times. Reports to Production Supervisor and offers competitive wages and benefits.

You will learn and follow safety rules, wear PPE, and perform setup, operation, and sanitation tasks per SOP to ensure product quality and safety.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required or preferred.
• Ability to read and comprehend documentation in English including safety rules and manuals.
• Ability to perform basic calculations with calculators and measurements.
• Forklift and/or pallet jack license may be required; lifting up to 40 pounds occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Learn and follow MGK HACCP and SQF programs.
• Follow all Food Safety procedures and wear required PPE.
• Set up, assemble, disassemble, and sanitize equipment per SOP.
• Measure ingredients per recipe and ensure recipe accuracy.
• Meticulously follow recipe instructions and standard procedures.
• Safely operate assigned machines per SOP.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

1 st Shift Batching Operator - 1 will be responsible for operating assigned machines that mix products, ensuring products meet all recipe requirements, quality and safety standards.

Schedule: Monday–Fridays; Start time is 5:30AM year-round, with a varying end time. Occasionally changes to work schedule may occur due to production or training needs.

What You’ll Do

As our 1 st Shift Batching Operator - 1, you’ll:

• Learn and follow MGK HACCP and SQF programs.
• Learn and follow all Food Safety procedures.
• Wear all required personal protective equipment.
• Set up, assemble, disassemble, and sanitize all specified equipment, per standard operating procedures.
• Measure and weight required ingredients per specified recipe.
• Meticulously follow all recipe instructions and standard procedures to ensure recipe accuracy and quality.
• Safely and accurately operate all assigned machines as per standard operating procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

What You Bring to the Table

• High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED), 1-3 months of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred.
• Ability to read and comprehend documentation in English including safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
• Utilize calculators to add, subtract, multiply, and divide all units of measure including whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Ability to obtain forklift and/or pallet jack license.
• Ability to occasionally lift and/or carry up to 40 pounds.
