Job summary

Mrs. Gerry’s Kitchen, LLC in Albert Lea, MN is seeking a 2nd Shift Team Lead - South to supervise the production area and ensure safety, quality, and efficiency.

You will lead a team, implement HACCP and SQF practices, train staff in production, sanitation, and safety, and uphold all SOPs/SSOPs while supporting continuous improvement and a positive work environment. You will report to the Production Manager, coordinate with maintenance and quality controls, and actively contribute to meeting

Qualifications

• Must be safety conscious and follow HACCP, SQF, SOPs and SSOPs.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules and operation manuals.
• Must be able to read, speak, and understand English.
• Willing to assist and train in production activities.
• Capable of maintaining production standards and yields.

2 nd Shift Team Lead will be responsible for the various jobs associated with the production on the south end of the building.

What You’ll Do

As our 2 nd Shift Team Lead - South, you’ll:

• Know and follow HACCP and SQF programs.
• Know and follow all Food Safety procedures.
• Follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Follow all Standard Sanitation Operating Procedures (SSOPs).
• Know and follow all Lock Out Tag Out procedures.

What You Bring to the Table

• Safety conscious
• Wear all required personal protective equipment. For more information see policy.
• Cover Supervisor responsibilities when they have time off or absent.
• Assist and train in production activities to help ensure it is running smoothly, and quality is being met.
• Help with the training in sanitation and chemicals.
• Watch for and enforce safety procedures around the plant.
• Support and bring ideas to help create and support management decisions.
• Promote a positive work environment, resolve issues, and drive continuous improvement.
• Responsible for compliance with production standards and product yields and communication of results to team members.
• Know the proper way to assemble all equipment in area, be available to help at any time.
• Properly inspect all machines before Pre-op
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to speak, read and understand English.
