Mrs. Gerry's Kitchen, LLC in Albert Lea, MN is hiring for a 1st Shift Processing Operator-1. This full-time role focuses on cooking potatoes and processing cabbage following HACCP, SQF, and SOP procedures to ensure safety and quality.

You will work Monday–Friday from 6:00 PM with a varying end time, reporting to the Production Supervisor. The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED, basic math skills, and is able to lift up to 50 pounds.

Competenze

• High School Diploma or GED required; 1–3 months related experience preferred.
• Ability to read and comprehend English documentation including safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions.

Mansioni

• Learn and follow MGK HACCP, SQF, SOP, and SSOP programs.
• Comply with all Food Safety procedures.
• Wear all required PPE.
• Set up, sanitize, wash down, and break down machinery per SOPs.

About the Role

Processing Operator 1 will be responsible for the cooking process of potatoes and processing of cabbage as per standard operating procedures to ensure quality and safety standards.

What You'll Do

• Learn and follow all MGK HACCP, SQF, SOP, and SSOP programs.
• Always Comply with all Food Safety procedures.
• Wear all required personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Set up, sanitize, wash down, and break down machinery per standard operating procedures.
• Accurately and safely follow procedures to set-up, peel, sort, inspect, and cook potatoes.
• Accurately and safely follow procedures to set-up, inspect, and process cabbage.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

What You'll Bring

• High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED), 1-3 months of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred.
• Ability to read and comprehend documentation in English including safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
• Utilize calculators to add, subtract, multiply, and divide all units of measure including whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Ability to obtain forklift and/or pallet jack license.
• Ability to lift and/or carry frequently up to 50 pounds.
• Must be able to speak, read and write English. Bilingual abilities are a plus but not required.

Who You'll Work With

You'll be part of a collaborative operations team focused on producing safe, high-quality products. You'll report to the Production Supervisor and work closely with Team Leaders and cross-functional departments to keep production running efficiently.

This role requires standing, walking, bending, reaching, climbing, pushing, pulling, and lifting (occasionally lifting of up to 50 pounds). Employees must wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) while working in production areas.

This position is based in a food manufacturing facility where employees may be exposed to wet or humid conditions, moving machinery, cleaning chemicals, airborne particles, varying temperatures, and moderate noise levels. PPE is required in all production areas.
