Job summary

Mrs. Gerry’s Kitchen, LLC is seeking a 2nd Shift Team Leader - South in Albert Lea, MN to oversee production on the south end, supervise staff, and ensure safety, quality and efficiency.

This full-time position reports to the Production Manager and requires strong leadership and the ability to read safety procedures and operate SOPs. You will follow HACCP and SQF programs, train teammates, and drive continuous improvement in a purpose‑driven company focused on sustainability, teamwork, and

Qualifications

• Must be able to read and understand English.
• Safety-conscious with PPE usage.
• Able to train and supervise teammates.
• Follows SOPs, SSOPs, HACCP/SQF requirements.

Responsibilities

• Oversee production on the south end during 2nd shift.
• Supervise and develop team members to meet quality and yield targets.
• Ensure compliance with safety, food safety, and sanitation procedures.
• Coordinate with the Production Manager and other leads on daily priorities.

2 nd Shift Team Lead will be responsible for the various jobs associated with the production on the south end of the building.

What You’ll Do

As our 2 nd Shift Team Lead - South, you’ll:

• Know and follow HACCP and SQF programs.
• Know and follow all Food Safety procedures.
• Follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Follow all Standard Sanitation Operating Procedures (SSOPs).
• Know and follow all Lock Out Tag Out procedures.

What You Bring to the Table

• Safety conscious
• Wear all required personal protective equipment. For more information see policy.
• Cover Supervisor responsibilities when they have time off or absent.
• Assist and train in production activities to help ensure it is running smoothly, and quality is being met.
• Help with the training in sanitation and chemicals.
• Watch for and enforce safety procedures around the plant.
• Support and bring ideas to help create and support management decisions.
• Promote a positive work environment, resolve issues, and drive continuous improvement.
• Responsible for compliance with production standards and product yields and communication of results to team members.
• Know the proper way to assemble all equipment in area, be available to help at any time.
• Properly inspect all machines before Pre-op
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to speak, read and understand English.
