Job summary

KIPP Public Schools Northern California is seeking an Instructional Aide to support students in core academics and behavior in both in-person and virtual settings. The role emphasizes collaboration with Lead Teacher, learning accommodations, and a strong commitment to inclusive education.

The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, with A.A. or B.A. preferred, and ParaPro testing or equivalent experience. Competitive benefits and 12-month pay with break pay are offered.

Qualifications

• Paid or volunteer experience working with students or children in an academic or behavioral support setting.
• High school diploma or the equivalent, and an A.A. degree or B.A. degree (or 48 units) or pass ParaPro.
• Commitment to KIPP mission and being an anti-racist educator.

Responsibilities

• Tutor in small groups or one-to-one, reinforce learning in core topics and language.
• Maintain a clean, safe classroom and learning environment.
• Prepare instructional materials and equipment for activities.
• Assist teachers with curriculum modifications for students.
• Provide testing accommodations and supervise exams when needed.
• Review and correct student work; support behavior interventions.
• Support social interactions and foster positive peer relationships.
• Assist daily living activities as needed and monitor safety.
