Job summary

KIPP Public Schools Northern California is seeking an Instructional Aide to support students in core academics and behavior management in both in-person and virtual settings. The role supports teachers with instructional materials, testing accommodations, and inclusive classroom practices.

Working under the Lead Teacher, you will help implement behavior plans, assist with field trips, and engage families to strengthen student learning.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or the equivalent, and
• A.A. degree or
• B.A. degree (or minimum 48 units in process) or
• Pass the ETS ParaPro Assessment (460)

Responsibilities

• Tutor and reinforce learning in core academic areas in small groups or one-to-one.
• Maintain a clean, safe classroom and learning environment.
• Prepare instructional materials and equipment for classroom activities.
• Create curriculum modifications with teachers.
• Provide testing accommodations and supervise tests.
• Review and correct student work.
• Support behavior intervention plans and positive reinforcement strategies.
• Foster positive relationships among students with disabilities and their peers.
