Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred; ninth grade education minimum.
• Physically able to perform essential custodial duties, including lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Experience in custodial, mechanical trade, or related area is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Sweeps and cleans floors in classrooms, offices, corridors and other areas.
• Operates custodial equipment such as mop, buffers, vacuums and scrubbing machines.
• Collects and disposes of trash and garbage.
• Moves furniture and heavy items up to 50 pounds as needed.
• Maintains clean and sanitary lavatories and wash areas.
• Assists in snow removal and lawn/playground maintenance.
• Responds to emergencies and performs other duties as assigned.
