Job summary

YES Prep in Houston, Texas is seeking a Special Education Teaching Assistant to support both Special Education and General Education teachers across instructional settings. This 10-month, hourly role focuses on behavior management, data tracking, and tailoring lessons to meet individual student needs.

The position requires a High School Diploma or GED, at least 30 college hours, and current Educational Aide certification (or willingness to obtain it from TEA).

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Minimum 30 college hours of credit.
• Current Educational Aide certification or willingness to acquire.

Responsibilities

• Assist Special Education and General Education teachers in all instructional settings.
• Model and reinforce positive behavior and classroom routines.
• Maintain data aligned with IEP goals and behavior plans.
• Support a student one-to-one and adapt activities to meet needs.
• Help with lesson planning and test administration.
